“Saliut” shows off its afterburner
On 2 June the FGUP Moscow engineering company “Saliut” displayed the AI-222-25 turbojet bypass engine designed for the IAK-130 at “VTTV-Omsk”2009”.
Omskpress was informed that the engine is installed on planes that use an uprated engine regime with a thrust of 1.5 during flight. This engine is fitted with an afterburner. The equipment has already gone through the testing and fine-tuning stage in Moscow, and the engine is currently installed on the new IAK-130 military training aircraft.
